SAVANNAH – Clifford Julian Bowen, 82, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at his home.
A native of Collins, GA, he had lived in Savannah for most of his life. He was a retired claims representative for CSX Railroad and a member of The Sanctuary.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn W. Bowen; a daughter, Cynthia B. Hodges; and a son, Michael C. Bowen, all of Savannah; three brothers, Lehman W. Bowen, Grady H. Bowen, and Alton J. Bowen; three sisters, Annie Lee Rogers, Loree B. Sikes, and Louise B. Hickman; a grandson, Joseph J. Hodges and a granddaughter, Christina D. Bowen.
A private graveside service was held on July 1, 2009 in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Larry McDaniel and Rev. Buddy Cribb.
